confluence...
director, writer, cinematographer, editor
/ Consumed by the beats and rhythms of our own established narratives, many forget that other spiralling storylines navigate and weave their way through these daily routines.
“confluence…” captures distant snapshots of three individuals experiences on one dreary day. Their relationships to one another - disconnected, until a train carriage unifies these fleeting souls.

under my skin
director, writer, cinematographer, editor

/ This film is a meditative exploration of the urban landscape’s revelatory physicality and identity.
The human anatomy is contrasted against the contemporary cathedrals of the 21st century; the retail emporiums and glass skinned work spaces.
As the camera traces the contours of both built and human form, the lens proceeds to vivisect a partially concealed anatomy.
The ambiguous human identity is fleetingly revealed within this idealised built landscape, in this dissection of the duality between masculine and feminine identity within architecture and nature.

a silent witness
director, writer, editor
/ A poetic documentary that explores the life of Narrabeen Lagoon; a silent witness to the changing world around it.
Experimenting with documentary storytelling by limiting myself to only edit with archival footage, with no new videos or photos taken for this film.
We follow this lake's history from Indigenous custodians to the intrusion of white settlers, the ferocity of extreme weather events (bushfires and floods), and horrific scenes of murder down by the water's edge.
the janus effect
director, writer, cinematographer, editor

/ A poetic and observational documentary that examines the polarity of experiences found within Manly (Sydney, Australia) in one day and the engrained ritual of binge drinking amongst today’s youth.
The vibrant celebration of local creative spirit and recreational pursuits witnessed during the Manly Arts Festival by day, is sharply contrasted with the sinister nature of this “party-hard” venue as experienced by night.
The paradoxical nature of this iconic beachfront playground is revealed by both magic moments of creative collaboration as well as the irreconcilable lows associated with excessive hedonism, and the after effects of drug or alcohol binges.

consumption
artist (mixed media)

/ A collection of mixed media artworks exploring the concept of thought loops where individuals are trapped in a spiralling descent into madness and ultimately surrender their bodies and identities to the societal values that encompass their worlds.
The Fibonacci sequence, a naturally occurring pattern, connects all six images, a repetitive and infinite pattern reflecting the unravelling on the individual's identity.
